We're Here!!!

Nee How from Guangzhou! After a a little over 24 hours of travel, we are finally here. As I write this, it is 12:45 a.m. on Tuesday, October 7th. I am looking out our hotel window, on the 18th floor, and the Pearl River is right there. We have watched several boats going up and down the river and it is just beautiful! I couldn't believe the size of the airport--and all of the palm trees. We were greeted by two darling young ladies in white uniforms holding a sign with all three of our names on it and they escorted us to a Mercedes waiting to take us to the White Swan Hotel. We whisked through customs with no problems at all--Dianne, I took your advice and didn't wear any bright colors! The flights were all fine and we made all of our connections. I almost bought some bean curd candy in Tokyo for you, Brittany, but thought I better wait and do that on our return trip. We were amazed on the way to the hotel--lots and lots of apartment buildings, most of which had laundry hanging in the windows, or out the windows. We are just getting settled in now and it will really feel good to stretch out in the bed. They just brought up a china bowl for us with bananas and oranges, which will taste good before we fall into bed. I'm guessing this post will be a little disjointed, as I'm REALLY tired right now, so don't be too hard on me Courtney! Steph, give the kids a big kiss and hug from Nana and Hobbes. Hopefully, I'll have some pictures for tomorrow!
